AAD offers music and movement activities to benefit those living with dementia in Bermuda. These activities are offered at no charge in an engaging, creative and safe environment.
Music with Hayley
Hayley Francis Cann, BMT, NMT, MTA, MScAH is a Bermudian-Canadian certified music therapist and neurologic music therapist with clinical experience in a variety of settings. Hayley completed a Masters of Science in Aging and Health at Queen’s University, has released two Children’s books, is a member of the Dementia Society of America Advisory Council and the serving Professional Developmental Chair for the Canadian Association of Music Therapists (CAMT). In everything she does, Hayley aims to provide an authentic experience that is respectful toward all people no matter their age, diagnosis, background, race, religion, or additional social locators.

Music for Memories with Tony
Our Music for Memories with Tony classes can give people with dementia a break from confusion and fear, providing them with relief from pain and helping them to recover lost memories. Join us on Tuesdays and Thursdays and take a walk down memory lane with us through acoustic sounds.
Movement Classes with Frances from Actively Aging
Frances Smith provides seated chair exercises for AAD through Actively Aging Bermuda, which encourages senior adults to improve their physical and mental well-being through gentle exercise. To find out the details of Francis’ classes check out our monthly activity calendar.
CHAIR YOGA WITH JACQUELINE
Jacqueline is a certified Integral ® Hatha Yoga and Chair Yoga instructor who strongly believes in the physical and mental benefits of yoga. Known for her compassionate, non-judgmental teaching style, her dream is to help others enrich their lives by making yoga accessible and enjoyable for people of all abilities and ages. Intergenerational Art with Kimberley AT Masterworks Museum of Bermuda
Kimberley Fisher, Art Educator, of Masterworks Bermuda, runs an Intergenerational Art Space class on Fridays.
Masterworks’ Intergenerational Art Space is a vibrant and inclusive haven where individuals of all ages can come together to unleash their creativity and connect across generations. This unique space offers a diverse range of art practices and projects and encourages us to paint, print and collage our way to more meaningful connections.
