Alzheimer’s Disease International was founded in 1984 to help to fight Alzheimer’s disease, which was first diagnosed in 1906. ADI is the umbrella organization of more than 100 Alzheimer’s associations around the world. Each member supports people with dementia and their families in their country. The ADI holds a Conference every year and is highly worth a visit as it caters to everyone affected by dementia and has some wonderful speakers from all over the world. The 35th Global Conference of Alzheimer’s Disease International will be hosted online and in-person in London, UK at The Kia Oval on 8-10 June 2022.
The theme for the conference, New horizons in dementia: Building on hope, continues the momentum gained during our 2020 conference. The 2022 conference will look at progress and barriers, new developments and innovations across all 7-action areas of the WHO Global action plan on dementia. It will inform attendees about recent developments and forecast breakthroughs in research, diagnosis, treatment, care, and support, and of course our continued focus on awareness raising, challenging stigma and advocacy.
